Overview of Garment Manufacturing Technology (GMT) Course

Also called Apparel Production or Fashion Production, the course in Garment Manufacturing Technology equips students with relevant skills like processes involved in apparel production, different kinds of production systems, equipment and machines for effective processes, knowledge and training on latest apparel production technologies, apparel merchandising and all steps required in production from fibre to fabric. In a nutshell, our garment manufacturing course imparts complete information about different stages of production of garment. The practical training also helps students to explore equipment, tools, production techniques and various stages, including pattern making, sewing patterns, and so on.

Unique Teaching Method

The experiential learning approach at IADA helps students to learn skills required in garment industry. They get first hand training and knowledge in areas like textile processing, textile testing, pattern making, sampling procedures, sewing processes and techniques among other steps. Students get insights into fibre, fabric processing and preparing a garment that appeals customers.
